Project management
One of the most important tasks during outsourcing the projects is strong management. According to official statistics more then 40% of outsourcing projects comes with failure because of pure management, less online skills and mistakes on project's architecture design phase. These stats not about us - we truly has perfect management staff.
Project management of IDOL includes individual manager for the medium to large sized projects. Every department of the company have several project's managers who control and turn with all the phases of the project. Every project controlled by online project tracker software and/or offline tool (mostly Microsoft© Project).
Our clients get individual account at the online project management system where they can manage milestones, check progress of the project and discuss any aspects of the project with team. Any issues, problems or questions can be solved at the HelpDesk software (recently we have migrated to our own solution that is more suitable for our needs).
Project gets started from the signing of the contract and considers being finished after deployment. After project been finished we offer absolutely free bug fixing and support to the clients for the at least six months.
Every project has several phases as:
2. Planning – after all the information and requirements were collected we are planning all the processes giving detailed specification for the project.
3. Developing – phase of the development managed by project manager. Our clients receive weekly or daily status reports as well as pre-builds and alpha/beta versions of the systems that are under development.
4. QA/Testing – after development we perform intensive tests based on different scenarios to ensure quality of the system and quarantine acceptance of the client's expectations. Quality Assurance in this case include “satisfaction list” where all the requirements were listed and confirmed.
5. Deploying – we not only developing the systems but also provide installation packages and instructions how to deploy a product to the end user.
While going through all of these phases we always inform our clients about progress of the project, taken decisions and obtained results. It allow to have clear understanding about scope of work and it become possible for our clients to plan proper time to market with reduced cost and increased quality.
